Yes, good lighting is a key factor for any believable piece. I know about Pascal Campion, +watched him a long time ago. That man is a phenom of his own.
As a matter of fact, I did a black and white painting of this (because in a piece like this, values are important) and then I colored it using layers with the 'color' settings. This method gives freedom to experiment with colors without loosing your drawings.
